Tour Program
In the late afternoon, we begin our Zante sunset tour in our luxury minibus towards the balcony of Zakynthos, the charming village of Bochali. Perched on the hill above Zakynthos Town, Bochali is famous for its breathtaking views and romantic atmosphere, with bougainvillea and jasmine adorning the old lanes and stone walls.
Beside this viewpoint stands the Zoodochos Pigi Church, meaning “Life-Giving Spring.” Dating back to the 15th century and deeply cherished by locals, the church is opened especially for our guests by the local priest, a close friend of the Nefis family. Inside, the whitewashed walls, simple sacred icons and a silver-plated, gilded icon of the Virgin Mary with Cretan influences create a quiet, soulful atmosphere of calm and devotion.
After taking in these breathtaking views, we make our way to the Callinico Wine Estate, known for its authenticity and warm Zakynthian hospitality. During a guided visit to their picturesque museum, you’ll learn about the local winemaking process, followed by a relaxed wine tasting. You’ll sample some of the island’s finest wines, whether you’re a true oenophile or simply enjoy a good glass of local wine, this moment often becomes one of the highlights of the evening.
Having tasted the very best of local Zante produce, we return to the luxury minibus and continue our Zakynthos sunset tour southwards, catching glimpses of olive groves and the Bay of Laganas across the deep blue waters of the Ionian Sea. Along the way, we discover charming Zakynthian villages set within sweeping countryside. We pause for a memorable photo stop, where a breathtaking panoramic view of Marathonisi, better known as Turtle Island, unfolds before us. Endless shades of blue and green create stunning photos and lasting memories of the island.
Back on the Zante sunset tour, we continue our journey to a hidden treasure at the mountains. Keri, a beautiful village of stone houses with has preserved its authentic character. It’s is here that we take an evening stroll; it all conveys the idea of a simple life in a place where time seems to have stopped, while we are saturated with all the beautiful Greek impressions and traditions.
After this wonderful meeting of Greek delight we now move towards our final sunset destination for one of the most breathtaking, panoramic sunsets in all of Greece. We are greeted by Yannis and his family who will introduce you to the Zakynthian traditional way of cooking. We will enjoy delicious food dishes, while the horizon lights up with swirls of pink and orange, fading to blue and purple over the Ionian Sea.
Our Southern Sunset Gems tour will be a great insight to see some of the authentic and rural life in the south of the island combined with a beautiful panoramic sunset to enjoy.
Important Information
The duration of this excursion is 5-6 hours.
Dinner at the final stop is not included in the tour price, but you can choose from a variety of freshly prepared local dishes à la carte.
The Southern Sunset Gems Tour is available from May until the end of the summer season.
The tour includes a walk through a traditional village with a gentle uphill slope we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.
The restroom at the restaurant is accessible via a short staircase.
During the tour, we visit a church and a local winery. For entry to religious sites, modest clothing is appreciated (no bare shoulders or short shorts).
Don’t forget your camera or phone; you’ll want to capture the breathtaking sunset views and charming villages along the way.

If you are staying in the Planos–Tsilivi resort area, you can collect your tickets and pay by debit card or cash at one of our Nefis Travel offices. Please make sure to collect and pay for your tickets at least 24 hours before the tour.
For your convenience, we also offer ticket delivery to your accommodation. We provide this service when you are staying in Argasi, Zakynthos Town, Kalamaki, Laganas, Agios Sostis/Koukla, or Tragaki. In this case, payment can be made in cash only.
