ZAKYNTHOS VIP TOUR
SUNSET SYMPHONY - ZAKYNTHOS EVENING TOUR
Zante evening excursion by mini bus
Our journey will start in the late afternoon. By luxury minibus we will travel through a scenic route of vineyards to the Wine estate Oenolpi, known for its authenticity and great Zakynthian hospitality. At the wine estate you will be able to learn how to taste the best traditional wines of Zakynthos like Avgoustiatis (red dry wine) and learn about Zakynthian traditions of winery. We will step back in time in the traditional wine cellar and we have time for a stroll in the wine yards surrounding this beautiful wine estate. We will move deeper into the mountains of Zakynthos, taking in the majestic views of the Ionian Sea and authentic villages along the way.
In the picturesque village of Agios Leon, we will be intruded to the making of the "liquid gold of Zante" the famous Extra virgin olive oil, at one of the finest Olive Oil factory’s on the island. At Porto Roxa, we reach our ultimate sunset destination for one of the most breathtaking, panoramic sunsets in all of Greece. The Margaris Family will introduce you to the Zakynthian traditional way of cooking. At the back of the tavern you will see and learn how food is made by wood burning clay ovens. Listening to Greek music, we can enjoy delicious dishes or just stretch out on the sun beds, while the horizon lights up with swirls of pink and orange, fading to blue and purple over the Ionian Sea.

We have just returned to uk after spending two weeks in kalamaki and just wanted to thank your team for the two trips we went on with them. We went on sunset trip and shipwreck and blue caves. Thoroughly enjoyed both and loved the information given about the history of your beautiful island. We are already looking to book next year’s hols and will definitely be booking tours with you again. Thank you

We arranged a tour through Nefis to the sunset tavern on the west side of Zante. The people carriers were comfortable, clean, reliable and the drivers were well informed on the history of their island and traditions, the tour included a visit to a small but modern winery/vinyard and to an olive pressing plant and shop, then a ride over the top of Zante to the west coast to see the sunset (terrific!)

Sunset tour was the most amazing experience! Absolutely stunning stunning sunset in the most beautiful secluded location..words cannot explain how beautiful this place is! We were picked up by Takis our lovely guide in a luxury seven seater air conditioned people carrier (a great surprise..not what we were expecting!) at 17:30 just a five minute walk from our hotel. We were then taken on the most breath taking route through remote mountain villages where we able to visit a local family winerie and taste their range of delicious wine. From there we visited another village family who produce their own olive oil which again was delicious. After another short drive we came over the top of the mountain overlooking the sea and began our descent just as the sun was beginning to set. This was a very secluded part of the island with only one Taverna (Taverna Ionion) which served us their lovely food straight out of their clay oven whilst we looked onto the most beautiful landscape. The scenery took my breath away! You will definitely need your camera!Takis took us back as darkness fell and dropped us in Tsilivi town at around 22:30. This is the best trip we went on in the two weeks we stayed in Tsilivi. We didn’t discover Nefis Travel until near the end of our holiday and by the time we tried to book a further trip it was too late and they were fully booked!! I will definitely use Nefis again. We went on the 1st Sunset Tour of the season (May 2015) – and we weren’t disappointed! Spiros (our driver/guide) picked us up and we firstly visited the vineyard. This is a small, family run winery in the hills of Zante and after looking at how the wines were made, were offered a taste of each wine they produced (plus braed/olive oil and cheese). I don’t drink wine as I really don’t like it…..but they changed my mind with one of the wines as it tasted like Vimto!!!!After that, we made our way to one of the hillside villages and then on to a little taverna on the west side of the island to eat and watch the sunset. The taverna’s owners welcomed us and showed us around before we sat to look at the menu. The prices were so cheap and considering the portion size, was amazing value. No-one went hungry that evening! The atmosphere was lovely, so peaceful and to be able to enjoy traditional food whilst watching the sunset was magical. It was nice to meet Jackie, the owner of Nefis who travelled up to say hello and find out what we thought of the tour. Typical of local business owners – making sure the customers are happy and seeing how they can improve – many UK businesses should take a leaf out of Jackie’s book for service and value! A special thank you to Spiros, who was really knowledgeable about the island and whose driving was fantastic – the roads on Zante can be really hair-raising, but he was so careful. Thank you so much – can’t wait to travel with you again!
