Nefis Travel was founded in 2008 by Jackie Boots-Gklava – a spirited storyteller and guide with a deep love for authentic Greece. What started with one tour and a dream has grown into a close-knit team of local experts – guides, drivers, captains, and coordinators – all sharing the same mission: to show you the real Zakynthos in a personal and meaningful way.

From the moment we first opened our office doors, we have been committed to supporting the local community and helping the teams and organisations that work to protect Zakynthos' flora and fauna in every way possible. By raising awareness and providing financial assistance, we strive to make a meaningful impact on our island and inspire others to join us on this mission.
We also support organisations such as Archelon – the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece, the Zakynthos Animal Welfare Fund, and The Smile of the Child, helping them continue their vital work. Especially for Archelon, we have raised thousands of euros through our Eco-Friendly Turtle Spotting Trip to assist in their efforts to protect the endangered Caretta-Caretta turtles.

Our contest is conducted on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Photos and videos are accepted until the end of October, and the winners are selected and announced at the end of November.
